Consultant Eye Surgeon Dr Jeremy Diamond has been a consultant for over 25 years. He qualified in the UK and was appointed at the world-renown Bristol Eye Hospital in 1996, where he ran the glaucoma department for 20 years.

After a career in the UK, he has now relocated to Victoria with his Australian family. As a highly experienced eye surgeon, Dr Jeremy Diamond can offer care for a range of eye conditions & surgical procedures, including all forms of glaucoma care, routine and complex cataract surgery, macular disease and neuro-ophthalmology.

Your journey will start with a fifteen-minute consultation with Dr Diamond; you will be under his direct care at every stage, including your consultation, your examination, any necessary investigations, discussions about treatment options, your operation and your aftercare.

Cataracts

Cataract is the word used to describe clouding of the natural lens of the eye. Cataracts are very common, with most people developing them by the age of eighty. Surgery is only indicated where the cataracts are causing symptoms or handicap.

If you have significant astigmatism ask about toric intra-ocular lenses. Mr Diamond is also specialist surgeon in multifocal lenses.

Glaucoma Care

If your optician suspects that you may have glaucoma, they will refer you to an eye doctor to have the diagnosis confirmed and treatment started. Treatment is aimed at reducing eye pressure.
