Eye Surgery Audit

The primary measure for the quality of cataract surgery is the incidence of ‘Posterior Capsule Rupture (PCR), which represents one of the more common complications associated with cataract surgery.  During 2022/23, Dr Jeremy Diamond performed over 1,000 cataract operations and had 3 posterior capsule ruptures, an incidence of less-than 0.3%.  The UK national average for PCR is 1.9%.
